When mother tells me to put the washing on the line

This technique proved very handy

Catching trains and going places, and COSTA COFFEE

I really like trains and being able to go and explore a new town or city. Yesterday, Jade, Aishu and I spent the day in Stoke, mainly because we are big kids and wanted to go to the water park but we did go exploring too. Stoke is definitely not my favourite place in the England, but there are some cute places like Hanley Park and the station is certainly nicer than ours.

COSTA
I only really drink coffee when I'm out, seen as most places are incapable of making a decent cup of tea. It's usually Costa that I go to too because they are EVERYWHERE. Where I live, there are 4 Costas within a 5-10 minute walk of each other - not that I'm complaining!

Today I need to prepare for my little London Trip :D Very much looking forward to my birthday tomorrow!

New shoes = happy Jenny

BUSKERS

I don't busk, but I love buskers! Well, the good ones anyway - guitarists, guitarists that sing, violinists and saxophonists - I'm not a fan of those didgeridoo players mind you :P Busking is quite controversial, i know some people dislike it thinking they are hobos playing for the money and that's probably true on some occasions...but not all buskers!

I'm sure most people have heard of Passenger, he's pretty famous and you can still find him busking on the street.

Slightly off topic there. I like it when I visit a town or place and the atmosphere has been vastly improved thanks to the buskers. I've noticed this most in Oxford, Shrewsbury and London (tube).

Whilst we are are talking music, this is the door to my music room and I think it's cute because it has a treble clef on it :3 I'm aware that this is a cringey picture of me

Minimal Piano piece: Photo's Everyday - Rob Simonsen

This is a simple piece that is found on one of the apple adverts and I only like this recording because of my piano...I'm also playing from memory here  and I'd barely looked at the piece at the time! oh well, here's 'Photos Everyday' by Rob Simonsen.

I love home-made Birthday Cards

I thought I'd express my love for home-made birthday cards, whether they are made by me or for me. Personally, I find it far more exciting when I've been presented with a folded-in-half A4 piece of paper plastered with old, new and best of all hideous photos that bring back a flood of memories. It's always nice to have it covered with annotations too or witty comments and inside jokes that go beyond 'Dear Jenny...Happy Birthday...with love from Joe Bloggs' (unintentional pun, I know). I received a home-made card recently for my upcoming birthday  (no envelope) and it was unexpected, from a friend that I had very much drifted apart from. The reason I probably felt the need to post about such an inconsequential thing as a 'home-made birthday card'' is that it changed my view of this friend in a good way. Firstly, it showed me that she had spent time gathering photos of best-shared memoires, cutting them out and annotating them- this is something that I appreciate! It also made me re-evaluate my  view of that person and see the many better moments of our friendship, that have much greater significance than any of the not-so-good.

Rule #32 Enjoy the little things. (credit to Zombieland)

To me, this is a lot more entertaining than the average card!

This is one of my 'interesting' creations. ;)

Sixth Form Shopping

Today I went on a shopping spree for Sixth Form clothes in the town centre. I realise this doesn't sound very interesting...ermm...

I was shopping alone mostly, but I met up with Jade in a tea/coffee shop. This tends to happen on a regular basis.. we like tea and cute tea shops :3

Friend picture 1:  We are shopping here
But this was a few years ago now
 :P
(Useless detail : This picture was actually the time that we accidentally broke the changing room door/curtain. I'm quite accident prone.)
