Here's an out of the blue frustration for you

This picture has zero relevance, but how good is this snapchat of mine? 

I was thinking. You know what sometimes frustrates me?

It's when people are convinced that they, and I quote, 'like something more than you' by comparing relative quantities of knowledge or time. . I probably sound a bit confusing here. So I'll give you an example. Harry Potter. Okay, so we have two Harry Potter fans. One of which has only watched the films (yet considers them amongst their favourite films) and the other who has: read the books, watched the films, got the merch, can recite Dumbledore's full name backwards and describe the associated characteristics of each house (and so on). The second one considers themselves to like Harry Potter more than the first person and listed the above reasons to explain why. But I don't agree with this. You can't say that you like something more than someone else just because you know more about it, as the way in which you like something is completely specific to you.
It's like saying that people in MEDCs like food more than the 1 billion (just over) in extreme poverty because they've had more of it!

Basically what I'm saying is that you can't generalise, compare or put a scale on emotions because they are specific to every individual and aren't relative to time or knowledge!

Slightly out of the blue but I do more thinking than I do sleeping at night :P

I was thinking and I ended up doing a 'My top 10 cooking Ingredients' list

Slightly unusual post but...seen as i asked for half of these as my Christmas present, I thought I'd share it on here. Why not.

1. Coriander. I didn't get coriander for Christmas however it is my favourite herb of all time.
2. 100% cacao. The one I like in particular is Willie's 100% cacao - This is a cylindrical block of chocolate and is perfect for cooking savoury dishes
3. Port. Port is an awesome ingredient for tomato based dishes - Chilli/ Spaghetti Bolognaise/Ragu etcetc.
4. Black/white truffles. I'm talking about the fungi that cost a lot of money, not the chocolate kind! But this has such an unusual flavour and is brilliant in pasta and risotto dishes.
5. Garlic. haha woo. Not gonna lie, freaking awesome ingredient
6. Tomatoes. Incredibly simple, although when i thought about it tomatoes are brilliant ingredients. One of my favourite recipes at the moment is a Tomato Risotto. Basically cherry tomatoes are heated in a pan with a fair amount of butter until soft. This is then strained and the tomato infused butter is added to the risotto. Genius recipe - best risotto ever.
7. Mince. I cook dinner Monday to Friday for me and my brother and after a long day of school there is nothing better than finding mince meat in the fridge because it is so quick and easy to rustle up something tasty.
8. Goats Cheese. I love goats cheese. It's a great ingredient to use for starters and appetisers and tastes even better when baked.
9. Kikkomanns soy sauce. This is my favourite type of soy sauce for when i'm cooking more oriental dishes. It is better than any other soy I have tried before (hence why it's one of my christmas presents)
10. Tilda Basmati Rice. I really really like rice. This brand is my favourite.

 These next pictures are also from around Katie's birthday. It was my uncle's Goodbye meal before he set off to live in Germany with Inken.

Coming across this picture from literally a couple of months back makes me really sad. This is a picture of Carys, who was pregnant at the time, and James. A couple of weeks ago, James lost his life in a car crash minutes before he arrived home. Carys gave birth to Sara a week after to the crash. Rest in peace James. 

Here is my wonderful Immi. She's my best friend and cousin rolled into one. She's also younger than me. Don't be deceived!

This is Auntie Hazel! She's mad. But awesome too.

I don't walk in a very lady like fashion. Oh well

Billy is on the left..the one that's off to Germany, then you have Margaret (Billy's mom) and on the right is my auntie Carol. She is also completely crazy yet wonderful! When I was younger she used to loudly announce that I was her daughter in the streets and flail my arms in the air. Oh Carol

Don Broco were so good in concert. I need to go see them again next year. They managed to get the lads doing press-ups in the middle of floor in Thug workout! aha.
